Sunstar was originally founded in 1932. At first, the company was a manufacturer and seller of rubber glue for bicycle tires and metal tubes. Our business operations soon expanded to include the oral-care business, which started with the manufacture and selling of toothpaste in 1946, and over the decades we have developed a number of new strong businesses based on our own leading-edge technologies.

Thanks to the Sunstar Group's business structure, core technologies and dedicated employees, today Sunstar is a unique global company with an annual turnover of more than CHF 1,170 million. We are always striving to help people everywhere attain the key social values of Health, Beauty, Comfort and Safety so that their lives will be healthier and more fulfilling. We believe that people who use our products will be better able to achieve the goal of sustaining a sound mind and a sound body.

In 2004, we established Sunstar SA in Switzerland. This company provides the base for our overall global management functions, as we conduct our worldwide business through operating companies and offices in the four key world business regions — The Americas, Europe, Asia and Japan. Construction of the Sunstar Group's World Headquarters building in Etoy, Switzerland is expected to be completed around March 2009.
