About

Blanca Sierra is Key Account Manager at Sunstar Colombia. She joined Sunstar in 2013.

What did you want to be as a child?

Since my play friends were men, I always played the boss of them, I was always the one who bossed them around and said what and who played with me. So I always dreamed of being the boss of my group.

How would your friends describe you?

My closest friends would describe me as hard-working, organized, loving, and very responsible with my obligations and work. They would also describe me as someone who would find answers and ask for help to find the best way to approach a challenge. But most of all, I would be described as someone charismatic, able to sell sand in a desert, and able to make friends in any situation and place.

What are your hobbies?

I like to meet people from many parts of the world, so I love to travel and learn more about other cultures, learn how people live there, what they eat, and how they dress. The best part of traveling, though, is doing it in the company of my children.

What’s your favorite family tradition?

The celebration of Christmas in my family and country begins on December 16 with the novena de aguinaldos. For nine days, we pray, waiting for the birth of Baby Jesus. We gather with family, friends, and even strangers, and we pray, eat, play, and share the hope of the birth of the Child God and the hope of a new year that allows us to start again with renewed energy.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

That, year after year, I have been the best KAM in my company, and I have been able to show my children that even in the most difficult situations, a job well done is a real personal and professional satisfaction.

What was your first job?

As soon as I finished my degree, I worked selling disposables at Darnell, which was a small company. During my time there, I was able to sell out production six months in advance which led the company to build a new production facility.

What is your favorite thing about your career?

Relating professionally and personally with my clients. Each company and person is a world worth knowing and being able to sell my products there gives me the strength to feel empowered.

Tell us in one sentence what you do at Sunstar.

I am a Key Account Manager (KAM), I am the sales key of the company that opens the door for customers to get to know our great products and have them in their company.

What is the best part of working at Sunstar?

What would you like Sunstar to look like on its 100th anniversary?
