What did you want to be when you were a kid?

When I was a kid I wanted to be a writer. I have always been a big reader, and the time I was not reading, I used to spend it dreaming of stories and writing them down. I used to have an old typewriter machine and I loved the sound of it. Fun fact: I started like four different saga books and never finished one, but you know what they say, it’s the journey not the destination!

How would your friends describe you?

I want to believe my friends would describe me as cheerful, dependable, and always busy person, and, and this I know for a fact, the one to ask about food places.

What are your hobbies?

Well, I have too many and, to be honest, I need more hours in the day to enjoy them all. I love singing, acting, writing, reading, and spending time with friends while eating patatas bravas*.

*They are a classic Spanish tapa made with potatoes and a mildly spicy sauce, and I am OBSESSED with them. My friends know it’s a must wherever we go.

What’s your favourite family tradition?

I think Christmas Eve in my childhood was particularly fun as we would sing villancicos (Christmas carols) with the whole family. A more recent and simple tradition that I really enjoy is eating meats and pa amb tomàquet every Sunday for dinner, even now as an adult. It is a delicious and laid-back supper to get ready for the week.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

I have a few but I would say writing my own theatre play is definitely the proudest, shortly followed by actually bringing this play to live and premiering it in front of an audience.

What was your first job?

My first job was as an English teacher at a languages school in my hometown.

What is your favourite thing about your career?

I’d say the creativity and strategy that is needed to plan and execute communications.

Tell us in one sentence what you do at Sunstar.

I am responsible for the corporate communications at Sunstar, which basically, means ensuring all communications about the brand to internal and external audiences are in sync with the company’s vision and business objectives at a global level.

What is the best part of working at Sunstar?

The people and the challenge. The people because Sunstar People are truly great, and I know what I am talking about because I’ve gotten to work with a lot of people in this company thanks to my job. And the challenge because Sunstar has so much potential that it is truly exciting to think how far we can go.

What would you like Sunstar to look like on its 100th anniversary?

I would like Sunstar to be a truly global and consumer-centric organization which has fully embraced innovation and sustainability to keep placing people’s health at the heart of what we do.
