What did you want to be when you were a kid?

I wanted to be a teacher, greatly influenced by my mother that was a teacher, and sometimes she took me to school together with her.

How would your friends describe you?

I imagine that my friends would describe me as a person always willing to help, always speaking the truth, and sincere in any situation

What are your hobbies?

My favorite hobby that I practice in my spare time is sport fishing; catching fish but always releasing them back into the wild. It is a way of being close to nature, seeking balance and relaxation.

​​​​​​​ What’s your favorite family tradition?

My favorite time of the year is Christmas, when I can get together with my family, give and receive gifts, and celebrate life. This is a tradition of many years that was left by my grandparents.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

I am very proud to see that my son, after all the dedication and all the love that my wife and I had in his development as a person, has become an honest and correct man, with great character, and an exemplary professional as a civil engineer.

What was your first job?

My first job was as a trainee, hired during my first year at university, at a bank called Bamerindus, which later became part of the HSBC group in Brazil.

What is your favorite thing about your career?

For me, challenges are fundamental in my career. This has happened throughout my professional life and right now, I am working on the great challenge of making Sunstar a recognized and strong brand in Brazil. In all these endeavors, I always tried to develop sales and marketing teams, using the concept of high-performance teams, where the teams clearly understand our objectives, accept and execute their roles, and help each other to reach our objectives together.

Tell us in one sentence what you do at Sunstar.

Take, through my work together with my sales team, the GUM brand to the Brazilian market, offering the greatest possible number of consumers, the possibility of having an experience with our brand.

What is the best part of working at Sunstar?

In Sunstar Brazil, the union, determination, and commitment of our team are simply fantastic. My purpose is totally aligned with our project in Brazil. Every day the brand becomes more relevant, recognized, and present in the Brazilian market. When I look outside of Brazil, Sunstar offers all its employees great opportunities for learning and exchanging experiences between our branches around the world.

What would you like Sunstar to look like on its 100th anniversary?

I would like to see Sunstar as a very innovative and socially responsible company wherever we are, always passing on the message that after 100 years of history, we are and will always be a company that cares about well-being, health, and people’s lives.
