Every day is a new challenge and different from the previous one. I don't know how it will end and I don't set limits for myself

Mireia Comas belongs to the Customer Service and Call Center department at Sunstar Iberia. She joined Sunstar in 2018.

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

I wanted to be a doctor.

How would your friends describe you?

They would say I am cheerful, friendly, empathetic, and responsible.

What are your hobbies?

Enjoying with family, friends, and my dog to disconnect without a schedule.

What’s your favorite family tradition?

Any special celebration, really: the National Day for Catalonia, Sant Jordi (book day celebration), Sant Joan (beginning of Summer), Christmas, Father’s day, or social gatherings like a calçotada*. Any celebration that serves as an excuse to get the whole family together at my parents’ house. We first start with an aperitif chatting next to the barbecue and spend some great time together; it can last until after dinner or even stay overnight!

*Calçotada is a popular seasonal type of eating in the region of Catalonia in Spain, very similar to a barbecue but with large big onions called calçots and a special sauce called romesco. It only happens from January to April.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

To work happy doing what I do, wake up everyday content, and go to bed satisfied with what I have done!

What was your first job?

Bingo admissions management.

What is your favorite thing about your career?

Every day is a new challenge and different from the previous one. I don’t know how it will end, I don’t set limits for myself, and I always try to improve and keep advancing in my career.

Tell us in one sentence what you do at Sunstar.

I run the first call center for Sunstar in Spain. I try to cover all the areas in the country where we don’t have a salesperson and be in contact with as many clinics and pharmacies as possible. The main challenge is giving information about our products with enough enthusiasm to convince clients to purchase without seeing or touching them!

What is the best part of working at Sunstar?

A good work environment, it’s like being in a family. From the first to the last, no matter your position, everyone is very close and kind.

What would you like Sunstar to look like on its 100th anniversary?

I would love for Sunstar to make all its products well-known and market them in all countries, including oral hygiene and food, facial creams, bicycle, and motorcycle products. And I would also love the brand to be recognized in all countries as one of the best in oral hygiene, making it grow worldwide!
