What did you want to be when you were a kid?

First, I wanted to be an air flight attendant to be able to travel all over the world. Then, when the preschool bus would leave me at my mother’s kinder garden, I wanted to work at an office to have a lot of papers to sort off.

How would your friends describe you?

They would say I’m a very happy person, caring and a very good friend. I enjoy life and laugh about almost everything.

What are your hobbies?

My main hobby is traveling. I try to go on a motorcycle trip with my husband to different Colombian towns at least every week. And once a year, I take a long vacation to visit a new part of the world. I also do scuba diving and have been around the world underwater, seeing places such as Egypt and Australia, and nearby countries such as Honduras, Belize, and Ecuador. Colombia diving sites are all on my done list. Besides this, I like to exercise a lot, every day I wake up early and do my work out.

What’s your favorite family tradition?

Christmas eve. It is the most important family day. We all gather, aunts, uncles, cousins, and everybody. We are more than 50 people at my grandma’s house.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

Being able to start working for a multinational company. This was my student goal. And also, learning how to understand the consumer and launching more than 40 new products to the market throughout my career.

What was your first job?

I started as an intern at Colgate Palmolive Company and worked my way up for 9 years.

What is your favorite thing about your career?

No day, no campaign, no promotion is like another, everything is new all the time no matter how many times you have done it before.

Tell us in one sentence what you do at Sunstar.

I’m responsible for understanding the Colombian market and positioning GUM among consumers as their best Oral Care alternative.

What is the best part of working at Sunstar?

I feel like I’m starting my career all over again, I have had the opportunity to work and do things I haven’t before. Been part of the birth of a new subsidiary and work hard to make it profitable, to put the stones for those who will come once we are stable and profitable.

What would you like Sunstar to look like on its 100th anniversary?

As the most caring and innovative company in the oral care business.
