Introducing Our New Human Rights Policy and Business Partner Code of Conduct
29 June 2026
Sunstar took an important step last month in strengthening and formalizing our approach to human rights, with the publication of our group-wide Human Rights Policy and Business Partner Code of Conduct.
These policies set clear guidelines for how we operate with respect for human rights – across our workplaces, supply chains and partnerships – and reflect the growing expectations from stakeholders for transparency and accountability on environmental, social and governance (ESG) topics.
What This Means for Sunstar
In line with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) and other global standards, our Human Rights Policy sets out our responsibility to:
- Providing a safe, healthy, and respectful work environment
- Promoting diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity
- Prohibiting child labor, forced labor, and modern slavery
- Respecting freedom of association and collective bargaining
- Upholding fair working conditions and conducting business ethically
- Supporting responsible sourcing practices across our supply chain
- Protecting consumer health, safety, and privacy
Our Business Partner Code of Conduct extends these expectations to suppliers and partners, setting the standards we expect them to follow when working with Sunstar.
Why It Matters
This work forms part of our broader focus on strengthening governance and supporting sustainable growth. Since its establishment in October 2025, the ESG Committee has been developing our sustainability strategy and leading execution across the Group. Strengthening our approach to human rights is one of our key priorities, alongside our ongoing environmental initiatives.
