We are thrilled with the high quality of the papers we have received to participate in the 6th World Perio Research Award focused on ‘The relationship between Periodontal Disease and Systemic health’. After the proper selection made by distinguished dental journals, in the first place, and by the Award’s Committee, in the second place, we are delighted to announce the winners of this edition. Besides, as the level of excellence of the papers has been very high this year, the Sunstar Foundation has agreed to award two articles with the 3rd place and recognise the excellent research that has been done by the scientists.
Since, 2003, this award aims to promote further research in the relationship that oral health has with systemic health and vice-versa to raise awareness about this issue around the world. Besides this prize, this year Sunstar has also launched a new award that aims to bring the scientific innovation closer to the people: the Perio Link Award.
