Editorial Policy

These pages provide an overview of all sustainability activities carried out by the Sunstar Group. Here, we introduce the various systems we have in place and the related regional initiatives to promote sustainability. We focus on the Sunstar Group’s reasons for existence in society, along with policies in a range of fields, including the environment, society and management platform.

In 2019, the Sunstar Group announced the Sunstar Group Long-Term Vision 2032 in anticipation of our 100th anniversary, as well as key goals for contributing to the realization of the SDGs. Since 2020, we have globally integrated the environment management activities that had until then been managed on a regional basis, for both the consumer and industrial businesses. In 2021, we established the Sunstar Group Global Mid-to Long-Term Environmental Targets to enhance efforts to reduce our environmental footprint. We are also making headway on our social reporting and management platform initiatives, and including this in our reporting on the status of the Sunstar Group’s overall ESG sustainability progress. We will continue working to promote these activities and expand the range of initiatives that we can disclose.

Scope of reports

The reports contain information pertaining to companies under the umbrella of the Sunstar Group, centering on Sunstar S.A., the Sunstar Group’s holding company; Sunstar Suisse S.A., the company presiding over the Consumer Business Group; and Sunstar Singapore Pte. Ltd., the company presiding over the Industrial Business Group.

Reporting period

The reporting mainly contains information on activities from January 2022 to December 2022 but also includes information around this period as required.
